Loose buttonholes are a pretty common problem in a knit garment or in a snug blouse, but it’s a pretty easy fix. I also find that buttons aren’t always in the right place, so you can also put tiny clear snaps in between the buttons to prevent gaping.
You can purchase the snaps below. I love these snaps. They’re super strong and nearly invisible. I’ve used them in my granddaughter’s princess dresses when sewing with chiffon or organza fabric.
